Caterpillar and Butterfly Activities for Kids

Welcome to Tuesday Tots! I just ordered our very first butterfly kit which is due to arrive later this month. My 3 and 5 year old are so excited to watch their very own caterpillars turn into butterflies! In anticipation of their arrival, I was excited to see that lots of caterpillar and butterfly activities for kids were shared on Tuesday Tots last week, and so here is a great collection of activities to use along with raising your own butterflies for some themed fun and learning!

My little brother is only 6 and really hard to occupy – I’m always trying to find way of making him be creative rather than letting him play with my iPad, and these are amazing ideas! We’ll see how many pasta caterpillars we can make!

  • Awesome ideas! I love love love making butterfly crafts! Here’s one I came up with that’s super-fun and totally inexpensive: Tie-dyed Coffee Filter Butterflies … tied to a string, they can soar as a toy or be hung as decor! 🙂 http://www.sophie-world.com/crafts/tie-dyed-coffee-filter-butterfly
