Game Idea: Finding/Making Letters & Numbers

Today at random, we spotted a perfect #3 left behind by frozen blueberries on Luke’s snack plate.

Can you spot it?

After that, all on his own, he ate the rounded edges off of one of his pretzels leaving behind the straight-lined center section, and proudly announced, “Look, a ‘Y’!” (Of course, the ‘Y’ was gobbled up before I could grab my camera!)

This is really less of a game idea and more of just being aware; letters and numbers are everywhere–road signs, junk mail, on the clothes we wear, on store shelving, and apparently, even on our snack plates!

Keep an eye out and have fun doing it–sometimes the least planned moments can be the most teachable ones! 🙂
