Playing in the Rain

As long as it’s warm out and not thundering or lightning, I don’t mind at all if Luke (age 4) and Lilah (age 2) want to go play in the rain.  It’s a great way to experience weather first hand, a really fun spur-of-the-moment summer activity, and it makes for some free sensory play!  Here are a few shots of some recent rainy day fun:

Light Rain

Heavy Rain
I had to include this photo because it was so cute to me.  Luke had been running around in the rain, when suddenly he stopped and his eyes were focused on the sky.  He said, “I saw a flash and I think it might have been lightning.”  Silly boy, it was the camera’s flash!!  My little Mr. Safety! 🙂
