Pretend Play Open Christmas Presents

Here’s just one of the many exciting activities that made up our Twas the Night Before Christmas Shower: opening Christmas presents!  This is a fun pretend game that can be set up in the bath or shower, on a window, the refrigerator, a whiteboard, or any other surface that can be wet a little!

Materials Needed:
* Foam sheets
* Permanent Marker
* Water

Set up is super simple!  Use foam sheets and a permanent marker to create gift boxes, bows, and a “gift” to go in the box.  Our gifts were stars and the kids LOVED them.

By wetting the foam, it magically sticks to surfaces.  Simply layer the box and bow on top of the “gift”.

My kids had a blast “unwrapping” their presents and finding the surprise.  But it didn’t stop there!  They continued to wrap and rewrap presents for themselves and for each other.

Opening Christmas presents was a big hit and encouraged a LOT of pretend play!
